XCOM 2: War of the Chosen released earlier last week, and many players are having a hell of a time fighting Advent. Console commands can be quite useful. Maybe you're testing a mod, or perhaps just goofing around after having completed the game. I would hope at least you're not looking because XCOM 2: WoTC is too hard.No matter what you need console commands for, there are some that are more useful than others. And in this XCOM 2 guide, I'll go over the most useful commands that you have at your disposal, and the variables you can use with them to suit pretty much every need. But I have omitted some commands that will break or severely damage the base functions of the game, just to be on the safe side.
Once you're in game simply hit the tilde key (`) in-game and the console should show up (if you did it right). Make sure you're loading into a game first or your commands won't actually do anything.
Before any of these commands will work, you must enable cheats using the console. To do this, just open the console and enter "enablecheats" (without the quotation marks). After that, you're all set to "test things out" -- cause you're not actually cheating, right?
Be aware that some armors will require corresponding research in order to function properly. Luckily, there's a console command that will instantly grant you the research you need to use any armor. "GiveTech x" is the research command, where X stands for whichever tech you want instantly researched.
Of course, any console-commanded army will be incomplete without an abundance of high-octane weapons to blast their way through enemies. Here are the console codes for all the weapons mods you could need:
To use this command, you need to replace the X with a soldier's name, and the ClassName indicator with the name of an actual class. Just keep in mind that the name of the soldier must be in quotations for this console command to work.
Note: Using this console command will demote any soldier to a squadie and strip them of all their ranks. So if you decide that your Colonel needs to change classes, you need to be prepared for that high-ranking soldier to go back to being a squadie.
But I'd like to advise everyone who uses even the most simple of console commands to back up your saves and make copies. You could potentially screw up your campaigns -- and I wouldn't want to see anyone lose their "hard"-earned progress on legitimate campaigns.
While this isn't a full list of all the console commands for the War of the Chosen DLC-- because trust us, there are a LOT of them -- hopefully these are still useful to anyone looking to enjoy themselves freely.

Currently adds three new console commands that can be used from the armory and one command used in tactical missions. Though the commands may be used to do cheaty things, the primary purpose of these commands are to help modders test and players integrate/update mod changes in their on-going campaigns:
Commander abilities unlock one-by-one as you earn command points during the battle. The command point counter is shown above the top-left corner of the information panel. Each time the counter fills, you earn a command point. It fills slowly but continuously throughout the battle. Each time you construct a building or kill enemy units, the counter fills more quickly. 2ff7e9595c
